We at NorthPointe encourage serving, both here alongside us, as well as those around you in the community. The Bible teaches us a lot about serving. In the books of Mark and Luke, we learn that even Jesus himself came to serve and commanded us to serve one another as well. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45) "And He answered them, 'Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.'" (Luke 3:11)

Throughout the New Testament we learn that early Christians were committed to service. They even sold their possessions to help those in need. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Romans, said it best in Romans 12:6-8: "In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly."

Here are NorthPointe we encourage service as we grow in our relationship with Christ. By showing love to one another, to the community around us, and to those in fellowship here at Church, we show the kind of love that Jesus showed by giving of Himself sacrificially on the cross. So we too can give sacrificially of ourselves in service. "Only fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things He has done for you." (1 Samuel 12:24)

Our ministry teams are a great starting point for you to serve, and we have many community partners we can serve as well. If you would like to take the next step of serving, we are here to help you find the right fit. Just tell us what you are passionate about and we will collaborate with you to get you on the right team or involve you in the right project.
